PROJECT BONGO
A weekend ago I headed to the beach for a band shoot with Project Bongo . They make some pretty cool music and I was excited to spent an afternoon with them trying to get some fun shots for their new website. We did not have a strict predetermined concept, but loosely had something in mind which best can be described as “Easy sunday at the beach”.
The shoot started of great as once we arrived at the beach we stumbled straight unto a kite festival including mega-large kites and loud yet relaxed music coming through some large speakers. An excellent backdrop for a photo shoot!
The great thing about doing band shoots with young bands is that the band members in general are creative kind of people who are not only open for new perspectives and approaches but also come up with ideas themselves, making a shoot really a combined effort and not only a one way directional monologue of the photographer.
Beneath a couple random of shots of the day, maybe not the “best” shots but they convey the mood of the day. Any day soon I will add 2 or 3 in my portfolio. Stay tuned! Anyway, I had a great Sunday afternoon at the beach, we managed to get quite some interesting shots. So thanks to Arthur, Jorik, Cornel and Jonathan!
